Vision

The vision of the department of Textile Engineering (TE) is to endeavor the leadership in textile, research and invention by providing applied and practical knowledge based education for serving the community, developing the socio-economic condition of the nation and the modern world.

Mission

The department of Textile Engineering (TE) pledges to

• provide professional education with innovative curriculum, up-to-date technology, pedagogy, industry and foreign collaborations covering the whole range of activities in textile areas.
• develop multi-talented graduates with a global outlook, a sense of social responsibility, critical and creative thinking ability.
• enhance learning and teaching in both teaching methodology and practice, the implementation of outcome based knowledge, maintain and upgrade an environment that facilitates learning with an aim to stimulate learners’ interest in wisdom.
• conduct research to create and broad knowledge in the academic community, business, industry, society and the world at large.
• cherish the graduates for developing their creativity, critical thinking, innovative and ethical leadership, supportive mentality and collaborate with textile industries for achieving a sustainable progress.
• advance knowledge to push the boundaries in wearable and technical textile sectors for applying professional knowledge for the betterment of mankind.
